FROSTBURG — The Frostburg State Athletics Hall of Fame unveiled the Class of 2026 inductees last week.
This year’s class includes seven members, bringing the total inductees to 251.
Shannon Dunnigan, Bryan Gamble, Timothy Garner, Chauncey Mason, Robert McFarland, Sara Schwartz and Dwain Thomas will be inducted.
Dunnigan was named the 2007-08 AMCC (Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference) Swimmer of the Year and was a six-time conference champion.
At the time of her graduation, she held two program records in the 1,500m and 1,650m freestyle and was top 10 in four other events.
Gamble and Garner were inducted from the baseball program.
Gamble was the AMCC Newcomer of the Year in 1998 and an honorable mention All-American.
He was the AMCC Most Valuable Player in 1999 and set the single-season record for doubles and shutouts.
Gamble’s 2.09 earned run average remains a program record.
Garner was a first-team All-ESAC selection in 1992 and one of the top defensive catchers in program history.
In 1992, he recorded the second-most doubles in a single season as well as the second-most career putouts and assists in program history.
Manson was a four-time CAC (Coast to Coast Athletic Conference) track and field champion and seven time ECAC (Eastern College Athletic Conference) qualifier.
He won 22 total individual races and was on 12 winning relay teams.
Manson still ranks in the top-10 in program history for the indoor 200m.
McFarland began the swimming programs at Frostburg State and led the teams for nearly 20 seasons.
He coached 23 total national qualifiers including nine All-Americans while the team set 23 program records.
He also served as men’s lacrosse coach for four seasons, accumulating 16 victories.
Schwartz ranked third in the volleyball program’s record book for career kills, hitting percentage and blocks at the time of graduation.
She was named the 2000 AMCC Player of the Year and All-Region honors, also leading the Bobcats to three consecutive conference championships.
Thomas competed at three track and field national championships and was a three-time Mason-Dixon Conference champion.
He earned eight total all-conference accolades and ranks in the top-10 in the outdoor 800m, 4x800m and distance medley relay, as well as the indoor 500m, 1,000m, 4x400m and 4x800m.
