DERRY — Visitors and locals alike flocked to Alexander Carr Park in Derry Saturday to take advantage of the fresh snowfall.
While rain was forecast for Monday, a quick weekend storm put down a blanket of snow across the region Friday night, leaving enough behind for sledding on local slopes.
For Monday, however, rain is forecast, mainly before 5 p.m., according to the National Weather Service. The chance of precipitation is 100%.
On Monday night it is forecast to be mostly cloudy, with a low around 20. Tuesday it will be partly sunny, with a high near 26.
There is no more snow in the immediate forecast.
