SHORT GAP, W.Va. — Frankfort capitalized off eight Moorefield errors, leading to a 9-1 win in five innings on Tuesday.
The Falcons (3-0) scored five of its nine runs off errors.
Raygan Grogg, Jordan-Marie Owens and Liz Crowe each recorded two hits for Frankfort.
Peyton Kimble hit a two-run dinger in the bottom of the third that put the Falcons ahead 2-1.
Kimble threw five shutout innings with two hits and 10 punchouts.
Kiersten Rinker and Sara Baldwin each had a hit for the Yellow Jackets (1-3).
Annie Barr was charged with nine runs (two earned) on eight hits and two walks with three strikeouts.
Frankfort is at Martinsburg on Wednesday before hosting No. 4 Petersburg (2-0) on Friday at 6 p.m.
Moorefield travels to Strasburg on Monday to face Strasburg and Lancaster.
