SHORT GAP, W.Va. — Looking for its first win, Hampshire took a 46-41 lead into the fourth, but Frankfort evened the score at 60 and rallied for a 73-68 overtime victory on Thursday.
The Trojans (0-10) led 14-11 after one and 32-27 at halftime before the Falcons (4-4) outscored them 19-14 in the fourth to send the game into overtime.
Frankfort outscored Hampshire 13-8 in overtime.
Jeremy Phillips scored a game-high 29 points, scoring 15 in the fourth quarter and overtime for the Falcons.
Phillips knocked down seven 3-pointers.
Kycin Waites scored nine of his 15 points in the fourth quarter or overtime while Bryson McKenzie finished with 11 points.
Matt Medina led the Trojans with 25 points including 13 after halftime.
Ayden Crabtree scored 20 points with four triples while Andrew Loy added 10 points.
Hampshire won the junior varsity game 52-16 led by Chase Brill’s 15 points.
Frankfort took the freshman game 55-13.
The Trojans head to No. 5 Petersburg (5-1) Tuesday at 7:30 p.m.
The Falcons host Moorefield (2-4) Wednesday at 7:30 p.m.
