POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. — The Danville Dashers won its first game on Oct. 25 and after almost five months, they won their second.
After 43 straight defeats, the Dashers got back in the win column on Thursday with a 7-3 win over the Poughkeepsie Venom.
Zac Horn had four goals and an assist for Danville, who broke a 1-1 first period tie with four goals in the second period, while TJ Prexler had a goal and three assists, Justin Brausen and Andrew Uturo each had one goal, Tim Delaney, Nathan Albrecht, Jhuwon Davis and Yosuke Jumonji each had two assists and Quinn O’Reilly and Blake Siewertsen each had one assist.
Parker Rutherford had 64 saves in goal for the Dashers, who will try for a first-time win streak on Friday as they start a weekend series with the Danbury Hat Tricks.
