Twenty-five members of the Fairfield Glade Fantastic Quilters Quilt of Valor chapter attended “sew-in” event on Saturday, March 2.
Four veterans were invited to come to the event where each was presented with their own Quilt of Valor, which made for a very special day for all in attendance.
Kathy Rusk, Linda Glenn, Nancy Stewart, and Janice Cahill presented those quilts along with assistance from Ruth Hill, Pattie Arnold and Paula Ochoa.
The families were excited to attend to the presentations and they could also see some of the quilts that were being made during this year’s sew-in.
It gave members a chance to witness a presentation as some had never actually attended a presentation before.
It was a very moving experience for all.
