Two is helpful in raising a kid. Or does it take a village? How many are needed to run a village? Trying it alone would be terribly difficult. So it is with most things these days. No one can know it all and make all the decisions and with good follow-up.
It takes more than a village to raise a kid. There need to be good honest schools and honest good teachers, a good honest grocery store, bus operators, local doctors and more.
In raising a kid, we learn to know who to ask for help. We learn to listen to the answers. We learn to follow the best, honest, fairest suggestions. We learn to pick the most knowledgeable in each field where we can’t begin to know it all, like when the car breaks down or if we can’t see well and need glasses and much more. We learn by listening and following advice.
In our country today, who do you think gathers the best knowledgeable advisers, the best people wanting peace and justice for all and in the kindest fairest way, according to the law?
Who can best listen to various ideas and discuss, listening with an open mind and deciding together the best actions to take? Who studies the options and ponders the best solution with the advice of specialist who knows more? Is that who you would vote for?
Or do you want someone who screams foul even before the results are in, blames others for his ills and cares little for others? One who cares only for himself. One who even announces ahead of time that he will run things as a dictator, at least for the first day or two. You believe that? He would stop being a dictator in a day or two? Who do you want to lead your country? A dictator or an open-minded listener?
Think when you vote and realize you are not just voting for one person. You are voting for a way of life!
