MECHANICSBURG, Pa. — Recent Fort Hill graduate Braelyn Younger was the leading rusher for Team Maryland in an 18-10, double-overtime win over Pennsylvania in the 69th Big 33 Football Classic on Sunday at Chapman Field.
Younger rushed for 55 yards on 13 carries to power a ground attack that had 40 bruising rushes for 121 yards in a defensive struggle.
Pennsylvania led 7-0 going into the fourth quarter on the strength of a 13-yard touchdown pass from Jack Kenneff to Blake Turner with 1:24 remaining in the opening period.
Maryland drew level and forced overtime on Blake Pasik’s 21-yard pass for a score to Michael Robinson in the final minutes of the fourth.
Pasik, who was second on the team with 42 rushing yards, was 14 for 29 for 151 yards and threw an interception.
Both sides made field goals in the first extra period. Pennsylvania’s Brady Biscoe drilled a 51-yard kick, and Maryland’s Gavin Fetty was good from 24 yards out.
Maryland’s Jonathan Coleman gave his team an 18-10 edge with a two-yard scamper for six and a conversion run in the second overtime.
Pennsylvania was stopped on downs to lose the game, the final play an incomplete pass in the end zone.
Maryland’s defense held Pennsylvania to 122 yards of total offense, the majority coming on the opening series.
Maryland moved to 5-9 all-time in the series with its second straight win.
Younger, who is signed to Division 1 University at Albany, was the 2025 area Co-Player of the Year along with Frankfort’s Braydn Tyler.
