A former employee of the North Tonawanda’s department of public works has been charged with sexual abuse of a minor.
Police Chief Keith Glass confirmed Thursday that the former employee, David Fingerlow Jr., was charged with second-degree sexual abuse and second-degree endangering the welfare of a child. Both charges are A misdemeanors.
Glass also confirmed that Fingerlow’s father, David Sr., is facing a charge of second-degree endangering the welfare of a child.
Police have said the charges against Fingerlow Jr. involve a female minor and the alleged abuse occurred between Sept. 1 and Dec. 24, 2024.
Glass said he could not provide further details as the case remains under investigation.
WIVB-TV News reported that both Fingerlow Jr. and Fingerlow Sr. attended a hearing in North Tonawanda City Court on Thursday where both city judges, Luke Brown and Shawn Nickerson, recused themselves.
