Last Tuesday, the former Cakes for Occasions property at 57 Maple St. in Danvers was sold for $1.1 million to North Street Development LLC, the same company that bought the former Danvers Hardware property at 63 Maple St. in 2022.
Back in April, the Planning Board approved North Street Development’s site plan review for the redevelopment of properties at 63 Maple St., and the adjacent sites at 10 School St. and 6 Pillsbury Ave., into a mixed-use building providing commercial space and 24 housing units.
During the permitting process, some residents used the opportunity for public comment to express concerns about the density of the project and its subsequent effects on abutting businesses and town services.
Cakes for Occasions owner Kelly Delaney declined to comment on the sale; North Street Development was not immediately available for comment Monday afternoon.
