CORRIGANVILLE — A fire Tuesday at a Homewood Addition home remains under investigation by the Office of the Maryland State Fire Marshal.
Firefighters were called about 11:40 a.m. to the Richard Nair home at 11914 Colorado Ave. and quickly extinguished the fire that broke out in a second floor bedroom, investigators said.
Family members were reportedly able to safely exit the structure prior to firefighters’ arrival.
Smoke detectors were present but not operational, the fire marshal’s office said. Damage was estimated at $2,500.
