Catholic Health has named Charles Fetterman, MD, medical director of Niagara Ambulatory Center.
Fetterman, a practicing ophthalmologist in Lockport for more than two decades, was instrumental in establishing the outpatient surgery center at 5875 S. Transit Road and was a leader of the facility when it was part of Eastern Niagara Hospital.
“We are honored that Dr. Fetterman has accepted this important role with Catholic Health,” said CJ Urlaub, Mount St. Mary’s Hospital president and Catholic Health senior vice president. “His leadership, medical expertise, and continued commitment to the community are outstanding. He played a vital role in helping the surgical center transition to Catholic Health. Under his leadership, we are already making great strides to grow the center as we welcome new surgeons and specialists to the Lockport community.”
Fetterman is a graduate of Canisius College and the State University of New York at Buffalo School of Medicine. He is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology.
“I’m excited to be a part of this exceptional organization and am truly grateful for all that Catholic Health is doing in our community,” Fetterman said. “Together, with the skilled and caring staff at the Niagara Ambulatory Center, and all that is being offered at the new Lockport Memorial campus of Mount St. Mary’s Hospital, our community is fortunate to have access to a wide array of state-of-the-art medical care.”
