Early Thursday morning, the sheriff’s office was alerted to a stolen car on Lockport Road in the Town of Niagara by a license plate reader technology. Sheriff’s officials said a coordinated effort involving sheriff’s deputies, Town of Niagara Police and New York State Police led to a brief pursuit and successful stop of the stolen 2025 Honda Civic.
The operator of the car, Naejuon M. Vincent, 22, was charged with third-degree criminal possession of stolen property, a D felony, third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and numerous vehicle and traffic violations. He was remanded to the Niagara County jail to await arraignment.
A 15-year-old passenger from the Falls was also charged with third-degree criminal possession of stolen property. His case was assigned to Niagara County Family Probation. He was released on an appearance ticket to his mother.
