At the annual Tennessee Lions Charities Honors banquet in Lebanon, TN, Nov. 1, three members of the Fairfield Glade Lions club were recognized for their service in Lionism, which is someone who embodies the spirit of service to others in the community.
Lions Clark Zedric and Darryl Wharton were honored with the Lindsey-Jennings Fellowship recognition.
The Lindsey-Jennings Fellowship was created in honor of two of Tennessee’s most prominent Lions and their commitment to humanitarian projects in Tennessee, specifically the founding of Tennessee Lions Charities and the KidSight Outreach vision screening program.
This fellowship is named in honor of two Tennessee Lions who served as International Presidents of the International Association of Lions Clubs, Edward M. Lindsey (1966-1967) and Austin P. Jennings (1988-1989).
Their long, dedicated, and innovative lives of Lionistic service to humanity is an enduring profile of the Lions motto, “We Serve.”
Also at the banquet, Lion Fred Mundt was inducted into the Tennessee Lions Hall of Fame as one of three members of the Class of 2025.
The Tennessee Lions Hall of Fame is a program created in 2010 by Tennessee Lions Charities, Inc. to honor members who have shown outstanding, selfless service beyond their local club. Induction is based on criteria such as receiving a Lindsey-Jennings Fellowship, which is the highest honor from the Lions of Tennessee.
Each year, a new class of up to 10 Lions are inducted, and the most recent class was inducted in November 2025.
