Looking to qualify for the NCAA Division 3 College World Series for an unprecedented fourth straight time, the Endicott College baseball team got that journey started off on the right foot Friday.
In convincing fashion, the Gulls smashed Husson University, 17-0, in the first game of the Montclair State Regional in Little Falls, N.J.
Now 36-9 on the season and the No. 1 seed in the regional, Endicott ace Brady Stuart ran his record to 8-0 on the season, allowing just two hits over seven innings. He struck out 12 Husson hitters and surrendered just two free passes.
The Gulls, ranked 11th nationally, scored three runs in three different innings and added a 7-spot in the sixth inning, taking any drama out of the game long before the final pitch was thrown. They finished with 19 hits.
Cleanup hitter and shortstop TJ Liponis had a monster day at the plate for Endicott, going 5-for-6 with two doubles, two runs scored and five RBI. John Fusco added two hits, including a home run, scored twice and knocked in three. Kyle Grabowski wound up with three hits, including a triple, and scored twice. Catcher James Benestad added a 2-for-2 stat line with two runs scored and three ribbies.
Endicott now moves on to the winner’s bracket final, where they’ll meet the nationally ranked (14th) hosts from Montclair State at Yogi Berra Stadium, with first pitch slated for 2:30 p.m.

The Endicott softball season saw its season come to an end at the NCAA Regional in Husson, Maine after falling to Colby College, 6-3. Earlier in the day the Gulls had been defeated by MIT, 9-3.
Abby McClaflin had an RBI single in the third inning to tie the score for the Gulls before junior Kylyn McLaren blasted a two-run homer over the fence in center — her eighth dinger of the season — for a 3-1 lead.
It stayed that way until the Mules of Colby plated five runs in the sixth inning, taking the lead for good.
Analise Grady took the loss on the hill, giving up 11 hits and six earned runs over 5 2/3 innings. She didn’t walk anyone and struck out one.
Endicott wrapped up its 2026 season with a 27-15 record.
