HAMPSTEAD — The Elaine David Thrift Shop, located at the Hampstead Public Library, is run by the Friends of the Library.
A dedicated and friendly group of volunteers stocks the shelves with new and gently used clothing and accessories for men, women, and children. The Shop is open two days a week, Tuesday and Saturday mornings from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
All items have very low prices, such as adult t-shirts for $1 and sweaters for $2.
Drop-in frequently, because they often get new items and have pop-up sales. Currently, the Shop has an end-of-season Bag Sale. Fill a bag with clothes for $5 or less on Tuesday, March 26 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Then their stock will change over to spring and summer clothing.
Proceeds help the Friends of the Hampstead Public Library fund items that the Library does not get with their regular town budget, such as giant games, microscopes, museum memberships, a starter collection of talking books for kids, and much more.
The Library and Shop are located at 9 Mary E. Clark Drive.
