Cumberland County’s local option sales tax collections are $11,426 above projected estimates for fiscal year 2024-’25, Jennifer Turner, Cumberland County finance director reported last week.
Turner reported sales tax collections in the county were at $2.8 million for August and September, which was $11,426 above projections.
She reported EMS collections for the county’s ambulance service were at $1,239,466 for August through October, which is $114,470 above projections for the fiscal year.
“These collections are holding up really well,” Turner said.
Turner reported property tax collections were at 7.65% for the fiscal year so far and that property tax bills were recently sent out.
She said hotel/motel tax collections are at $276,850 for the fiscal year so far, which is 22.13% of the projected amount of $1,251,275.
Prisoner boarding collections from the state are at $44,526, which represents one month of collection. That is 11.51% of a $386,952 budgeted projection.
