Meridian residents will have a new dining option for breakfast as Eggs Up Grill is set to open Monday, Jan. 8.
The rapidly expanding breakfast, brunch and lunch concept, which is located at 2815 North Hills St., serves its full menu open to close. Signature menu items include the founder’s recipe corned beef hash with potatoes, onions and special spices, as well as made-to-order omelets, buttery, grilled blueberry muffins, classic breakfast dishes and lunch selections including burgers, melts, salads and more.
Eggs Up Grill also caters events big or small, with a menu featuring breakfast favorites like eggs, grits, home fries, biscuits and gravy and muffins. Salads and sandwiches are available for catered lunch.
Franchise Partners Richard Harris, Bill Johnson and Larry Johnson are kicking off the grand opening by giving the first 20 people free breakfast for a year. The giveaway will be good for one meal each month for the first year.
Harris worked for Captain D’s for 40 years, beginning as a cook and working his way up to an area supervisor of 12 locations in Atlanta, Ga. Most recently, he was the hometown area partner for a Captain D’s franchise in Meridian. He met his partners, the Johnson brothers, when they were customers at his restaurant; the two have been business owners in Meridian for the last 60 years, including real estate and car dealerships.
“When I first dined at Eggs Up Grill, I was hooked. I felt like I was eating breakfast on vacation with the colors and the openness,” said Harris. “Now, the community of Meridian can enjoy it too. We are truly excited to be open and invite everyone to join us for the best breakfast, brunch and lunch in town.”
With indoor seating for 105 and outdoor seating for 16, the 3,800 square-foot restaurant is designed to make guests feel at home in a light, bright and cheery atmosphere. The Meridian restaurant serves guests seven days a week from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m., with dine-in, online ordering, takeout, catering and delivery options available.
The Meridian franchise is the first Eggs Up Grill in the state. The restaurant also has locations across the Carolinas, Georgia, Florida, Virginia, Tennessee, Alabama and Texas, and will soon be in Ohio.
