SPORTS PHOTO
EDN Sports Editor Alex Wallner won first place for a photo depicting Altamont’s Ben Roedl competing in the 300-meter hurdles during the National Trail Conference Track and Field Meet.
Judges comments: This photo is so well composed and balanced, there’s really no detail I can add to say it’s not perfect. The depth of focus, symmetry of the runners and facial expressions – as the leader jumps right out of the frame with eyes staring dead at you – are all as pristine as it gets. An amazing shot!
