The Effingham County Chamber announces with regret the resignation of President & CEO Lucinda Hart, CAE, MBA, IOM, effective May 31, 2024. Hart has taken on the role of Executive Director for an International Women’s Association, headquartered in Austin, TX.
During her tenure at the Effingham County Chamber, Lucinda has made significant contributions to the success and growth of the organization.
“She played a pivotal role in steering the Chamber’s initiatives post-pandemic, ensuring that the Chamber concluded with a strong reserve,” stated Dr. Austin Cheney, 2024 Board Chair. “Her dedication and hard work have been greatly appreciated by the Chamber Board of Directors.”
In her resignation statement, Lucinda expressed gratitude for the support and opportunities provided by the Effingham County Chamber. She stated, “While it saddens me to leave, I am excited about the new challenges ahead and am grateful for the experiences and relationships I have gained during my time in Effingham County.”
The Chamber extends its best wishes to Lucinda as she embarks on this new chapter in her career.
The Chamber Board will promptly initiate the quest for a successor to assume her role and facilitate a seamless transition. During the April Board meeting, the Chamber Board delegated the Chamber Executive Committee the responsibility to seek an Interim President & CEO before Hart’s departure. A permanent replacement will commence later this month.
As information is finalized, further details will be posted on the Chamber website: Effinghamcountychamber.com.
