BAKER, W.Va. — East Hardy entered the bottom of the seventh trailing 9-5.
The Cougars (7-14) rallied all the way back, scoring six runs and completing a stunning 11-9 comeback over Musselman on Tuesday.
Evan Hamilton and Dayton Dove each hit home runs in the seventh for the Cougars.
With a runner on and two out, Hamilton sent a fly ball deep to right for a two-run walk-off home run.
Dove’s blast came two batters prior on a three-run shot to left that evened the score at 9.
Mason Wilkins hit an RBI single to open the scoring in the seventh.
Evan and Mason Hamilton each went 3 for 4.
Evan added four RBIs, a walk and a stolen base.
Dove drove in three runs off his three-run shot while Wilkins finished 2 for 3 with an RBI and a walk.
East Hardy hosts Keyser (5-16-1) on Wednesday before heading to No. 5 Petersburg (15-5) on Thursday to end the regular season.
Berkeley Springs 7, Moorefield 2
MOOREFIELD, W.Va. — All nine combined runs in Tuesday’s game came after the sixth inning, but Berkeley Springs put up six runs in the sixth to pull away.
The Indians scored six runs in the sixth with three runs coming off Yellow Jacket (4-19) errors.
A groundout and Oliver Crites single in the bottom of the seventh produced Moorefield’s two runs.
Kail Greenwalt was charged with three earned runs off six hits and a walk with four strikeouts across six innings for the Jackets.
Moorefield ends the regular season with games at Musselman on Wednesday and Elkins on Thursday at 6 p.m.
