OAKLAND — East Hardy defeated Southern on Saturday 25-15, 25-22 and 25-13.
Southern was led by Mya Watson with six kills, two aces, five points and nine digs; Avary Witt with four assists and two points; Emelee Parks with three aces, eight points and 16 digs; and Madison Wolf with six digs, an ace and two points.
Statistics for East Hardy were not provided.
The Cougars beat Southern, 25-7 and 25-16, in junior varsity action.
Leading the Rams’ JVs were Sadie Turner with two assists and three points; Callie Bittinger with an ace and four points; and Ari Healy and Lea Custer with six digs apiece.
