BAKER, W.Va. — No. 5 East Hardy went yard three times, leading to an 8-4 win over Petersburg on Monday.
The Cougars (17-8) scored five runs in the third inning, highlighted by back-to-back jacks.
Evan Hamilton sent a fly ball to right for a two-run home run that put East Hardy ahead 3-1.
Three pitches later, Mason Hamilton sent a solo shot deep to right.
Both players recorded two hits and two RBIs.
Evan Hamilton also stole a pair of bases.
Levi Price blasted a two-run tater to center in the bottom of the fourth.
Shayne Sisler tossed six innings, allowing three earned runs on six hits with no walks and five strikeouts.
Kaleb Kuhn allowed five earned runs across six frames with five strikeouts for the Vikings (9-17).
Owen Reel had two of Petersburg’s seven hits.
The Vikings are at Spring Mills on Tuesday, followed by No. 2 Hampshire (13-10) on Thursday at 6 p.m.
Keyser 11, Berkeley Springs 1
KEYSER, W.Va. — Landon Tysinger tossed six innings of one-run ball, leading Keyser to a six-inning win over Berkeley Springs on Monday.
Tysinger allowed two hits and a walk with two strikeouts for the Golden Tornado (10-15).
Tysinger joined Lucas Williamson and Cam Larkin with two hits apiece.
Hunter Harr hit a two-run home run in the bottom of the fifth inning for Keyser.
The Golden Tornado heads to No. 5 East Hardy (16-8) on Wednesday at 6 p.m.
