On Tuesday morning of this week, eight new voting machines were certified for early voting at the Cumberland County Election Commission. Early voting for the May 5 county general primary started Wednesday at the election commission’s new office at 2876 N. Main St., Crossville, TN 38555 in the former Lansford Kawasaki building. Jill Davis, administrator of elections, said 278 people early voted on Wednesday. Early voting will continue through April 30, Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday from 8 a.m. to noon. The May 5 primary voting precinct sites have not changed.
