Rose Memmolo
Sr., Forward, Andover
Four-year varsity player who made big impact immediately as a freshman. Team captain. Named to the MVC/DCL All-Conference team. Two-time league All-Star. Named to the MSCHA/HNIB Senior Girls All-Star team. Finished the season with 6 goals and 11 assists. Finished career with 36 goals, 45 assists and 81 points. Big part of last year’s Division 2 Final 4 run. “Rose was our only captain this year and led our team on and off the ice,” said head coach Meagan Keefe. Memmolo was also named Eagle-Tribune’s field hockey Player of the Year after leading Warriors to state final.
Sophia Powers
Jr., Defense, Central Catholic
Logged about 30 minutes per game on the blueline. Two-year assistant captain. Has powerful shot. Blocks a lot of incoming shots. Runs the power play and on the ice for every penalty kill. Named to MVC/DCL Small School All-Conference team. Finished the season with 9 goals and 12 assists. Team MVP. Outstanding student. “Sophia leads by example. She never misses a workout and is constantly working to improve herself. She controls the entire game from her position. Her aggressive play and powerful style makes her one of the top players in the league,” said head coach Mike Collett.
Julianna Taylor
Jr., Goalie, HPNA
A three-time Eagle-Tribune All-Star. Surpassed 1,500 career saves this season. Had an incredible .938 save percentage and 1.65 GAA. Made 57 saves in a 1-0 loss to eventual state finalist Notre Dame of Hingham. Made 36 saves against Shrewsbury, last year’s state champions. Named to the MVC/DCL Division 1 All-Conference team. Led her team to the second round of the state tournament. Posted a shutout in the first round win over Natick. Has 11 career shutouts. “Julianna has allowed our team to play and compete against one of the strongest schedules (in the state),” said head coach Gary Kane.
Paige Nottingham
Jr., Defense, HPNA
Part of team defense which allowed two goals or less in 16 of the team’s 22 games. Jumped into the offense with 8 goals and 6 assists. Solid shot. Strong skater. Grew up in Beverly, before spending seven years in Seattle, Washington and played on all boys team, before joining all girls team, the Washington Wild, that played as the only American team in the Canadian League. “She’s a player that other teams had to game plan (against). She was electrifying at times distributing pucks from our defensive zone and attacked with speed through the neutral zone,” said head coach Gary Kane.
Bree Lawrence
Jr., Forward, Methuen/Tewksbury
A 5-foot-2 center who is one of the top forwards in the MVC/DCL. Finished season with 12 goals, 6 assists and 18 points, despite missing three games due to illness. Has career numbers of 25 goals, 28 assists and 53 points. Named a league All-Star. Solid two-way dependable forward. Helped lead team to second round of Division 1 state tournament. Has twin sister Liv. Plays second singles on the Methuen’s girls tennis team. “Bree is a tenacious forward that can match anyone in our league. One of the best competitors you’ll find in girls hockey,” said coach Dave O’Hearn.
MJ Petisce
Jr., Defense, Methuen/Tewksbury
A two-time Eagle Tribune All-Star. Led the Red Rangers in scoring with 12 goals and 9 assists despite playing defense. Has 23 goals and 27 assists in her career. One of two locals named to the MVC/DCL Division 1 All-Conference team. Back in 2022, took part in the Team USA Development Camp held in Minnesota. Strong skater. Real good on poke-checks and defending her position. Leader on the power play. Great vision. Always finds open player. Helped Red Rangers reach second round of the state tournament. Her father Andrew and brother Jackson bother former Methuen hockey standouts.
Emily Gosselin
Jr., Forward, Pinkerton Academy
A talented offensive minded forward, who along with linemate Riley Dunn combined for 149 points this season. Gosselin finished season with 39 goals, 30 assists for 69 points coming in just 18 games. She averaged 4.4 points per game against ten New Hampshire playoff teams. Has three-year totals of 69 goals and 61 assists. Second team All-State selection. Served as one of team’s captains. Instrumental in the team’s No. 1 playoff ranking and advancing to state semi-final game. Scored 20 goals and had 19 assists last year. “She provides constant pressure on the puck,” said head coach Scott Dunn.
Maddie Beyor,
Frosh., Goalie, Pinkerton Academy
Third member of the Astros to make team. Was selected to the New Hampshire All-State team, beating out last year’s choice. Helped lead Astros to Division 1 state semifinals. Recorded 423 saves this season, averaging 42 per game, and gave up just 1.9 goals per game. Made 81 saves (not a misprint) in a 5-4 overtime win over Bishop Guertin. Made 46 saves in first round state tournament win. “She was terrific for us all season. When we played the better teams, she’s the one that kept us in those games,” said head coach Scott Dunn.
