Gloucester High School’s classrooms and hallways were filled Friday with teachers, staff and students wearing fuchsia T-shirts emblazoned with white ribbons and the words “GHS Think Pink” in the name of breast cancer research.
They started the day by gathering in the field house and forming a human pink ribbon as part of the school’s “Think Pink” campaign, and for Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
Many ended the day, still wearing pink, by cheering on the football team during its game against Falmouth.
A group of students sold pink ribbons or the T-shirts to raise money to buy gift cards that help Gloucester High School community members who have or had cancer.
