NEWBURYPORT — The Maudslay Arts Center Summer Concert Series welcomes back favorite The Don Campbell Band to close out the 31st season on Saturday at 7 p.m.
Come back on Sunday evening for a special concert to benefit First Parish Newbury Food Pantry.
The Don Campbell Band is a band that dares to venture down many musical pathways. From Campbell’s own heartfelt, original creations, to the music of Dan Fogelberg, The Smithereens, Johnny Cash, John Denver and Van Halen.
The Don Campbell Band is a high-caliber, well-rehearsed group who will leave the audience wanting more when it performance has ended.
On Sunday evening, bring a picnic and settle in for an evening of music provided by members of some of Boston’s finest and most beloved orchestras while knowing you are supporting First Parish Newbury Food Pantry’s efforts to reduce food insecurity in our surrounding communities.
The Essex Ensemble will perform on Sunday, from 6 to 8 p.m. For tickets and further information go to www.newburyfoodpantry.org/events. The concert has been organized directed by local resident, oboist, and pantry volunteer Andrew Price, and includes top tier musicians, who perform with some of Boston’s most-loved orchestras.
Maudslay Arts Center is located at 95 Curzon Mill Road, Maudslay State Park, Newburyport. The concerts are held rain or shine, moving to the indoor performance hall adjacent to the patio when weather dictates. General parking is available in the Maudslay State Park lot, which is free after 5:30 p.m. Handicapped parking is available on site at MAC.
The series is operated and supported by dedicated volunteers, private donors, ticket sales and rentals, and the staff of the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation. Saturday evening concerts are supported by Newburyport Bank.
