LAWRENCE — Musical talent from across the school district was celebrated in a combined concert Thursday evening.
Some 190 student performers participated in the 2026 District Music Concert at the Lawrence High School Performing Arts Center.
The concert featured an instrumental performance by the high school band under the direction of Justin Jones, with the remainder of the program showcasing multicultural choral performances from seven elementary schools organized by district music coach Marie-Eve Vecchiarello.
Participating schools included the Parthum Elementary School directed by Monise Reed; the South Lawrence East Elementary School directed by Eugene Kaminsky; the Leahy Elementary School directed by Nurt Villani; the Arlington Elementary School directed by Kelsy Duran; the Oliver Elementary School directed by Jason Pratt; the Guilmette Elementary School directed by Brittany Kerr; and the Tarbox School directed by Maximilian Fischer.
