During the month of February, HART (Home Assistance Referral Team) is reaching out to the community to remind them of the services the organization provides and to ask them to consider a gift to HART.
In celebration of our community campaign, DiCamillo Bakery has made a special cookie with a portion of the proceeds going directly to HART.
“We wanted to say thank you to HART for all they do for so many, and we thought this was a great way to do so,” said Matthew DiCamillo. “The cookies will be on sale in all of our retail stores.”
HART celebrated 40 years of service in 2022, and although many years have passed, the mission of HART has remained the same. HART enables the most vulnerable members of our community to maintain a quality of life and remain independent in their own homes by connecting them with qualified and affordable help.
“Through the years, HART has provided in-home care to over 30,000 families averaging 20,000 hours of care annually, said Christine S. O’Hara, MS, executive director. “HART continues to respond to this need in not only Niagara County, but we are now serving individuals in Erie County.”
The organization helps seniors remain independent in their own homes by linking them with qualified and affordable assistance in Niagara and Erie counties. HART continues to rely on support from foundation grants, individuals and business organizations, as well as the proceeds from community fundraising events.
Those considering a donation to HART can mail your check directly to HART at HART, Inc., 505 Cayuga Street, Lewiston, NY 14092, or online at www.hartprogram.org/donate.
