MALONE — Patients in the North Country now have greater access to specialized diabetes, metabolic and hormonal care as Alice Hyde Medical Center Endocrinology welcomes Emily Russell, AGNP-C, to its practice. Russell sees patients in Malone.
She holds a Master of Science degree in nursing from SUNY Upstate. Russell earned her Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from SUNY College of Technology in Canton and an associate degree in applied science/nursing from North Country Community College.
She joins fellowship trained providers Alveena Altaf, MD and Angad Gill, MD, who offer specialized testing and treatments not widely available locally. The Alice Hyde Endocrinology team is dedicated to empowering patients to take an active role in managing their health. In addition to offering the latest treatment options, providers focus on helping their patients build sustainable lifestyle changes with an emphasis on education and informed decision‑making. The team’s emphasis on education, collaboration and sustainable lifestyle changes closely mirrors Russell’s own approach to patient care.
“What I find most rewarding is caring for patients as whole people and empowering them through education to better understand and manage their health. I have developed a strong clinical interest in metabolic health, weight management, nutrition and exercise medicine. I’m passionate about helping patients understand the connection between lifestyle, chronic disease prevention and overall wellness,” she said.
