THOMASVILLE- On Wednesday, runners will have a little less than 100 training days remaining until the 45th Annual Rose City 10K Run.
Dr. And Mrs. Jim Story, race directors of the Rose City Run events have announced this year’s events that start the Saturday before the Rose Show and the Saturday after the Rose Show.
The 45th Annual Rose City 10K Run will be on April 20, 2024 at 8 a.m. The 43rd Annual Rose City One Mile Run for participants 12 years of age and younger will be at 9:30 a.m., following the 10K run.
The 41st Annual Rose City 5K Walk is scheduled for April 27 at 8:30 a.m.
The Rose City 10K Run is once again a qualifying race for the Atlanta Peachtree Road Race that will be held on July 4, 2024. The 10K, 5K and 1-mile courses are all certified by the USA Track and Field.
Each competitor in this year’s events will receive a performance t-shirt and a specially designed coffee mug.
Registration will begin at the end of January in a special edition of the Thomasville Times- Enterprise, and online and in person at the Thomasville YMCA on Dawson Street.
In 2023, there were 910 competitors that registered for the Rose City Run events. They represented more than 50 towns and cities from Georgia, Florida, Alabama and North Carolina.
