DANVILLE — The Danville Fire Department will be utilizing the parking garage located at 22 N. Walnut St. as part of the department’s firefighter candidate testing process for the 2026 hiring cycle.
According to a release from Danville Fire Chief Aaron Marcott, the department will conduct practice physical agility sessions from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, May 9 and Saturday, May 23.
Residents and visitors may notice increased activity in and around the parking garage during these scheduled times. Some disruption to normal parking operations within the garage may occur during testing activities; however, no road closures are anticipated.
The Danville Fire Department appreciates the cooperation and support of the City of Danville and surrounding community as the department works to identify and prepare the next generation of firefighters.
