Covenant Health and Covenant Medical Group recently welcomed doctors Amanda Garman, MD and William Young, MD, to Cumberland Specialty Group.
Garman is board-certified in general surgery and is a member of the American College of Surgeons.
Garman attended medical school at Augusta University, in Augusta, GA, where she also completed her general surgery residency. She holds a bachelor’s degree in genetics, botany and ecology from the University of Georgia. Garman is accepting new patients.

Young will treat urologic conditions such as cancers of the bladder, kidneys and prostate; frequent urinary tract infections; kidney stones and urinary incontinence. He also will treat diseases of reproductive organs and adrenal glands.
Young is board-certified in urology by the American Board of Urology. He is a member of the American College of Surgeons, American Urological Association, Tennessee Medical Association and American Association of Clinical Urologists.
Young attended medical school at the University of Tennessee School of Medicine in Memphis. He completed general surgery and urology residencies at the University of South Florida in Tampa and earned his bachelor’s degree in biology from Abilene Christian University in Abilene, TX.
Young’s personal interests include fly fishing, fly rod building, traveling, and playing the mandolin, guitar and banjo.
