POTOMAC PARK — Wade Cunningham doubled twice and had three hits to lead Cumberland Rotary to a 6-1 win over Amoroso’s in a Mountain League Baseball Junior Division game on Thursday at Hamilton Field.
Cunningham added two RBIs and scored twice, Blake Davis was 2 for 2 and scored three times, Demarcus Isner drove in three, and Aiden Broadwater singled twice.
Davis tossed a complete-game gem, allowing a run on six hits in seven innings with two strikeouts and one walk. He was efficient, needing just 70 pitches to go the distance.
Amoroso’s Bayne Stowell had two hits. Landon McIntyre took the loss on the bump in a complete game of his own.
Rotary (3-5) is at Hampshire on Tuesday at 6 p.m.
Amoroso’s (3-6) hosts Flintstone on Tuesday at 6 p.m.
Frostburg 14, TM Sluggers 10
FROSTBURG — Evan Padovini accounted for three of Frostburg’s 10 base hits in a win over the Travel Mug Sluggers in a Junior Division game Thursday.
Padovini tripled, drove in two runs and scored twice, Jacob Shipe was 2 for 4 with a double and three RBIs, Scott Cowan finished 2 for 3 with a double, two ribbies and two runs and Simon Greise had two singles and scored two times.
Cowan was the winning pitcher, allowing six earned runs on six hits in 5 1/3 innings.
The TM Sluggers’ Parker Hook ended 2 for 2 with two runs batted in, and Grady Miller singled two times and scored twice. Ben Kamp was dealt the loss on the mound.
Frostburg (3-6) faces the Cresaptown Eagles at Hamilton Field on Monday at 6 p.m.
The Travel Mug Sluggers (4-4) heads to Salisbury, Pennsylvania, to take on Casselman Valley on Monday at 7 p.m.
