CUMBERLAND — A city man was being held without bond Sunday in the Allegany County Detention Center after Cumberland Police arrested him in connection with an assault incident that occurred on July 18.
Ben Richard Metheny, 47, was charged with first- and second-degree assault, robbery, reckless endangerment and resisting arrest.
Metheny was taken into custody after a warrant was issued for the alleged incident in the 900 block of Bedford Street. Police said Metheny attempted to flee Saturday but was quickly apprehended.
