CUMBERLAND — A city man was jailed following an early morning assault Sunday at an East First Street residence where he ran away prior to the arrival of officers, according to Cumberland Police.
Christopher Scott Reuschel, 40, was charged with first- and second-degree assault and reckless endangerment when he was served an arrest warrant at an unspecified location Sunday.
The victim suffered injuries in the incident that occurred in the 100 block of East First Street at about 6 a.m. The arrest was made later in the day after a warrant was obtained through district court.
No information was disclosed on the victim’s injuries and any medical treatment that followed.
Reuschel was confined at the Allegany County Detention Center following the arrest, pending bail review by a district court judge.
