Cumberland man charged in North End assault

CUMBERLAND — A city man was being held without bond Sunday in the Allegany County Detention Center after he allegedly assaulted a person a day earlier at a Fairview Avenue residence, Cumberland Police said.
Myron Allen Battle, 38, was charged with first- and second-degree assault and reckless endangerment, police said.
It was unclear the extent of injuries to the victim or if they sought medical treatment.
