CUMBERLAND — A city man is awaiting trial after he allegedly pointed a rifle and threatened to kill a person early Tuesday in the 100 block of S. Lee Street, according to Cumberland Police.
Officers responding to the 12:50 a.m. incident took Todd Fitzgerald Becker into custody on first- and second-degree assault and reckless endangerment charges.
No injuries were reported and the arrest was made without incident.
Following a bond hearing by a court commissioner, Becker was jailed without bond at the Allegany County Detention Center, pending review by a judge.
