CUMBERLAND — A 72-year-old city man was jailed late Monday after he threatened to stab individuals at a residence in the 200 block of Baltimore Avenue, according to Cumberland Police.
No injuries occurred in the East Side incident that ended with the arrest of Terry Rodger Davis on charges of first- and second-degree assault and related offenses.
The arrest was made without further incident when Davis complied with police officers’ orders to drop the knife that he wielded as he exited the residence, police said.
Following arrest processing, Davis was placed in the Allegany County Detention Center, pending appearance before a district court commissioner.
Officers were reportedly called to the location at 9 p.m. for an initial report of a disturbance.
