Crossville Police have taken an 18-year-old man into custody under suspicion of rape.
In a written statement issued Tuesday afternoon, Crossville Police Department said Darvin Torres Garcia is being held on a $250,000 bond in Cumberland County Jail.
“On Sunday, March 22, 2026, the Crossville Police Department received a report of a rape,” the written statement said. “Detectives immediately initiated an investigation into the allegations.”
The Crossville Police Department reminds the public that charges and allegations referenced are merely accusations of criminal conduct and not evidence. The defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt and convicted through due process of law.
