Creative Compassion Inc. was recently awarded a $545,700 grant from the Tennessee Housing Development Agency to go toward the construction of affordable workforce housing. Christy Dolinich, Creative Compassion executive director, said the grant should help them to build three new homes in 2026. On hand to accept the grant were Grant Thurman, board president; Mark Baldwin, development director; Dolinich; Dawson Hunt, board member; Derek Lane, field representative from Congressman John Rose’s office; and Katie Moore of Tennessee Housing Development Agency. Since 1989, Creative Compassion Inc. has built 189 modest, affordable homes in Cumberland and surrounding counties.
