Cowden-Herrick announced Lisa Steffen as Staff Role Model of the Year.
The Staff Role Model of the Year is selected by the staff at the end of each school year. Steffen will receive a $100 cash award donated by Aaron and Devi Hawes on behalf of Lockart & Green Funeral Services.
Steffen teaches Junior High Reading and Language Arts. She has taught for 27 years and still loves it. She enjoys taking walks, riding horses and playing with her dog, Lady. Steffen resides in Effingham with her husband, Joe. She loves spending time with her family, Paige Buchanan, Matthew and wife Serena Buchanan, Wyatt and wife Rachel Steffen and her grandson, Lincoln Steffen.
