A Cumberland County couple was jailed Tuesday in connection with the burglary and theft from a storage shed during which more than $300 in property was taken. Only one item was recovered.
Joshua Fenstrmaker, 30, and Are Perry, 30, both of Deepwater Rd., are each charged with one count of burglary and one count of theft of property of up to $500.
A property owner contacted Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office Monday and told Deputy Tashua Stone someone had broken a window on a storage building and had taken an air compressor and weed trimmer. Value of the items was placed at $338.
The victim added she received messages from a man, stating he had taken the property and “he had plenty of time to pawn them.”
Tuesday deputies were dispatched back to the Deepwater Rd. Address on a report of prowlers on the property and took Fenstermaker into custody.
Deputy Sgt. Jason Powers recovered the weed trimmer. The air compressor, at the time of the report, was still missing.
Both suspects were jailed under $10,000 bond. Perry has since been released while Fenstermaker remains in jail at press time.
Both will appear in General Sessions Court at a later date.
