MORRISONVILLE — This summer, area residents won’t have to turn on the radio to hear one of country music’s most-played groups of late.
Instead, they can listen to the acclaimed melodies and energy-infused guitar licks of Parmalee live and in person, when the contemporary country hitmakers perform at the Clinton County Fairgrounds Friday, July 11.
“It’s exciting to be able to bring such a hugely popular and successful group to our area to perform for our community members. We’re looking forward to welcoming Parmalee to the stage for the evening, and I’m sure many people in the audience will be singing along to their songs,” Clinton County Fair Manager Mike Perrotte said.
“I would also like to express my gratitude to our Entertainment Committee for all that they do to make events like this possible at the fairgrounds.”
Comprising brothers Matt and Scott Thomas on guitar/lead vocals and drums, respectively; their cousin Barry Knox on bass; and lifelong friend Josh McSwain on guitar, Parmalee hails from North Carolina and has amassed more than 1 billion on-demand streams.
They’ve topped the charts with hits like “Gonna Love You,” “Carolina” and the platinum-certified collaboration with Blanco Brown, “Just The Way.”
The group’s single “Take My Name” was named Billboard’s Most Played Country Song of 2022.
Parmalee will perform as part of the 2025 Clinton County Fair, set for July 7 through 12.
Tickets will be available for purchase beginning Feb. 7 at www.clintoncountyfair.com.
