Code Blue remains in effect through 8 a.m. Thursday (Feb. 13) in the city of Lockport due to forecasted overnight below-freezing temperatures throughout the period, Mayor John Lombardi III’s office announced.
Each night, any homeless person or individual without home heating may go directly to the Salvation Army, 50 Cottage St., between 8 and 10 p.m. for shelter.
After 10 p.m., anyone needing shelter should go to the walk-up window at Lockport Police Department, Niagara Street entrance, for assistance.
While Code Blue is in effect, city hall is a designated daytime warming station, from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday and 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
