DANVERS — The Le family of Beverly has consolidated ownership of CoCo Nails at the Liberty Tree Mall.
Previously owners of U.S. Nails in Endicott Plaza along with CoCo Nails, family matriarch Kelly Le made a decision to cede ownership to a new proprietor in June. Le will remain onboard with U.S. Nails in the meantime, guiding them through the transition as well as doing nails and her hallmark waxing services. However, U.S. Nails is now owned and operated by the Nguyen family.
The Le family retains full ownership and management of CoCo Nails, with Kelly’s brother, Ken, serving as manager, according to an announcement.
Serving as proprietor of their own business was a goal many years in the making for the family, they said. Kelly Le spent years working in the medical supply industry, doing nails on the side. Her husband is a skilled machinist.
The family said they established themselves in other careers but always with the goal of owning their own business one day. They emigrated from Vietnam, and after pursuing careers in other fields, realized their dream, operating two salons in Danvers. Six years ago, Le bought CoCo Nails and it has thrived ever since, allowing her to acquire a second salon, U.S. Nails.
Her four children, inspired by their parents’ work ethic, have all either completed or are attending college in Massachusetts and are pursuing careers in medicine and the sciences. At this juncture, Le says she decided it was time to sell one salon to focus on other pursuits.
Le says they have created an oasis of tranquility in the harried atmosphere of mall shopping. CoCo Nails is next to the AMC Theatres at Liberty Tree Mall, by the Sky Zone entrance.
