Coahulla Creek was welcomed to its new Region 7-2A with a thud as the Colts were thumped 48-0 by North Cobb Christian in Kennesaw Friday night.
For a third straight game to start the season, the Colts (0-3) couldn’t get any points on the board, and the defense couldn’t stop the high-powered offense of NCC (3-0).
Led by standout sophomore quarterback Teddy Jarrard, the Eagles flew in for five first-half scores, taking a 34-0 advantage at half.
Creek couldn’t get any points up on the board, and NCC added another pair of scores in the second half, scoring the final touchdown on the first play of the fourth quarter.
Colt quarterback Waelyn Baliles was 6-for-13 passing, and the Colts managed 105 total yards of offense.
Tyler Douglas led the Colts in tackles with five.
The Colts have faced very stiff competition through three weeks of play, and have been outscored 111-0 so far.
Coahulla Creek is off next week, but returns for a home game against Sonoraville Sept. 13 at home.
