Plein air painting seeks to capture the light, color and atmosphere of an outdoor scene.
Intermediate artists or those seeking a skill refresher are encouraged to participate in Freeman Davenport’s upcoming class through Plateau Creative Arts Center.
The class, which will meet at Robin Hood Park at Peavine Road and Snead Drive, will be from 9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Saturday, April 25.
This class will provide demonstrations and individual instruction designed to help participants achieve mastery en plein air.
Participants must bring their own supplies, palette, paints, brushes, pencil and paper, and other materials.
Participants may work in the medium of their choice (acrylic, oil, watercolor, pastels, ink, graphite). They are asked to keep their color selection basic: red, yellow, blue, white, and black.
The class will be $55 for Art Guild at Fairfield Glade members, $70 for guests.
