CUMBERLAND — Police are investigating the killing of a city man found dead early Sunday in the Frederick Street Parking Garage.
Cumberland Police Department Chief Chuck Ternent said Todd Ellsworth Adams, 42, was found in the parking structure just after 1:30 a.m. with obvious injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The death was ruled a homicide after autopsy.
Ternent said Adams was known to frequent the downtown area, particularly among the homeless population.
The investigation is being conducted by city police and the Allegany County Combined Criminal Investigation Unit.
