CUMBERLAND — A city man faces numerous charges after Cumberland Police said he broke into an Oldtown Road apartment early Saturday and assaulted residents.
Braydien Jenkins McKenzie, 24, was taken into custody after he reportedly fled through a window as police arrived about 3:23 a.m. Police used a tracking dog to locate McKenzie, who was charged with robbery, home invasion, first-, third- and fourth-degree burglary and first- and second-degree assault and other related charges, police said.
At least one of the apartment’s occupants received injuries in the incident, police said.
McKenzie also had three outstanding warrants in addition to Saturday’s charges, according to police.
He was being held Monday in the Allegany County Detention Center without bond pending a bail review hearing Tuesday in district court.
